Final Shots: Become A Drug Kingpin In New Mobile Game Based On Netflix’s ‘Narcos’

Fans of the Netflix original series Narcos, which is based on the hunt for Colombian drug kingpin Pablo Escobar, will soon get to experience what it’s like to build their own cartel. Production firm Gaumont Television is teaming with FTX Games to bring you a free mobile game based on the hit show.

According to Variety, the game titled “Narcos: Cartel Wars” will start players off as low-level cartel lieutenants who encounter various characters from the show while on a mission to grow their organizations. Users will be prompted to exhibit loyalty, sheer power, or both as needed to climb to the top, while forming alliances with other players along the way. The brand new app will be released alongside the show’s second season, all ten episodes of which will stream on September 2. Actor Wagner Moura will continue in his starring role as Pablo Escobar, who in the show, is now on the run once again.

Orange Is The New Black’s Samira Wiley (who portrayed Poussey Washington in the show) has been cast as a series regular in Hulu’s forthcoming original pilot, The Handmaid’s Tale. Wiley will co-star with Elisabeth Moss in the 10-episode period drama based on Margaret Atwood’s popular book of the same name. [The Hollywood Reporter]

Hulu has unveiled a comical teaser clip announcing an August 11 premiere date for Triumph The Insult Comic Dog’s Summer Election Special 2016. The new special will serve as a follow-up to Triumph’s previous election special, which had aired in February during the primaries:

A brand new stand-up special from comedian David Cross appropriately dubbed Making America Great Again! will hit your Netflix library on August 5th. The platform released the main trailer, where Cross can be seen heckling his audience as they enter the venue via an LCD screen of his face:
