The day has finally come. “When,” you’ve screamed into the void every day since it was announced that Netflix would be bringing back our beloved Gilmore Girls. You’ve sat impatiently waiting, eyes glued to your screens as the Melissa McCarthy drama unfolded. You’ve turned on notifications for every member of the cast’s social media accounts. You’ve been shaking with anticipation, barely able to drink your coffee and maybe even talking a bit faster than usual. (Because of the nerves.) It’s okay. You’ve held up so well! Because of that, you deserve to know, here and now, that in addition to eight other premiere dates, Netflix has revealed that Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life will arrive on November 25. Do you need a minute?

In case you need a quick refresher, Netflix announced a few months ago that Gilmore Girls would return to the streaming service in the form of four 90-minute episodes, each one taking place in a different season. (That’s why it’s called Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life! You get it.) Creator Amy Sherman-Palladino will return to write, direct, and executive produce the limited series. All notable original cast members will be returning, with the exception of Edward Herrmann, who passed away in 2014. Sutton Foster will also guest star as a new character.

Now that we’re all caught up, you should also know Netflix has released a short, wonderful trailer that includes some footage of Stars Hollow, your favorite fictional town on the planet. There are a few stock shots of all the important spots, like Luke’s Diner and the Dragonfly Inn, set to the comfortingly familiar la-las. The most important part, though, is of course the brief snippet of a conversation between the intrepid Gilmore girls. They’re seated at their kitchen table, as they should be.

If you’ve spent the years since the series finale wondering what Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and Rory (Alexis Bledel) would be discussing in 2016, the answer is obviously Amy Schumer. Lorelai wants to know if Rory thinks Schumer would like her; Rory is positive she wouldn’t. “Why? It’s not like I’m perpetually armed or at sundown I turn into one of those vampires with no sense of humor or I have that plant strapped to me that only blooms once every 50 years and smells disgusting.” Rory obviously has to take a minute to look up the plant – “Corpse flower! Some only bloom once a decade.” – on her phone, because she’s Rory. (It’s just as bizarre as you might think to see smartphones in the Gilmore house, by the way. Remember when Lorelai didn’t even want wireless internet?)

Back to the important issue at hand: Rory says Lorelai and Schumer wouldn’t get along because, “Every single time I see her in a magazine she’s on vacation doing water sports.” Lorelai steadfastly agrees: “Oh no. That would not work at all.” It’s worth noting that there are no real discernable spoilers in the brief trailer, besides the fact that Lorelai and Rory are still drinking coffee and eating Pop-Tarts, but like, who didn’t see that one coming?

The trailer finishes with another equally interesting question from Lorelai: “Do you think John Oliver would find me hot?” The answer to that one, though, will just have to wait until November.
