Are we trapped in another heat dome or is that just our latest Woman Crush Wednesday taking over the map yet again? Probably both! But save the weather talk for co-workers in the elevator, let’s get to our Woman Crush!

Julia Stiles returns to the big screen as Nicky Parsons in Jason Bourne, the fourth installment in the franchise featuring Matt Damon as the title character and Stiles as his…friend? Former colleague? It’s hard to define, but it’s not hard to love. The two skipped the Jeremy Renner spinoff in the series, so we haven’t seen them together since 2007’s The Bourne Ultimatum, and their return comes not a moment too soon. The new Bourne wastes no time getting your neck muscles to tighten and your heartbeat to speed up, and Stiles has a lot to do with that.

WHO’S THAT GAL: Julia Stiles

WHY WE’RE CRUSHING: As Nicky Parsons, she was basically one of the first women in tech before we were even talking about women in tech. She knew how to work a computer better than anyone else in the room like it ain’t no thang. Oh, but it is. Stiles is no stranger to playing strong, confident women who know what they’re talking about and aren’t afraid to take charge of a situation, and we’re all better for it. Throughout her career of over two decades, she’s taken roles big and small, fun and frightening, and it feels like we’ve all grown up together. Because let’s face it, Stiles was as much a part of your teen years as the people at your high school lunch table were.

WHERE YOU’VE SEEN HER BEFORE: Stiles starred in some of the most important teen films of our generation. Just thinking about her as moody Kat in 10 Things I Hate About You will give you chills (that part when she reads that poem about not hating Heath Ledger at all!). She followed that up with Down To You with Freddie Prinze Jr, natch, and Save the Last Dance. In 2002 she entered the Bourne world with The Bourne Identity, followed by a larger role in 2004’s The Bourne Supremacy and 2007’s The Bourne Ultimatum. Oh, but that’s not all – in between the action franchise, she packed her schedule with movies such as A Guy Thing, Mona Lisa Smile and The Prince and Me.

She also had memorable roles in The Omen, the fifth season of Dexter, and played Jennifer Lawrence’s sister in Silver Linings Playbook. And this is all while she weaved in some theater roles and nabbed an English degree from Columbia University. Julia Stiles has worked her tush off, basically.

WHERE YOU’LL SEE HER AGAIN: She teams up with Bourne on the big screen this weekend, and she’ll follow that up with thriller The Drowning with Josh Charles, scheduled for release this year. She’s also got The First and Trouble lined up, most likely for 2017 at the earliest. We’re not worried about this girl keeping busy, we just want to make sure to watch every single thing she does.
