If you aren’t familiar with the Starz show Survivor’s Remorse, well, you are way past due to get familiar. The LeBron James-produced comedy follows a basketball star (Jessie T. Usher) and his family (Tichina Arnold, RonReaco Lee, Erica Ash and Teyonah Parris) as they deal with their newfound fame and fortune.
The title of the show refers to the fact that they were able to move out of a rough neighborhood in Boston and find success in Atlanta. But at first glance, it might not make a ton of sense. In fact, it kind of sounds like one of those aftershow talk shows for Survivor. So we asked the cast how they would fare if they were forced to make it in the exotic locations where the reality competition show takes place.
It’s funny to see how similar (or dissimilar!) the actors are to their characters in deciding how well they would do on the reality show. It’s one thing to be athletic, but it’s another to have an appetite for bugs. And yeah, who would ever want to be away from their hair products for that long?
In season 3 of Survivor’s Remorse, we will continue to see how the Calloway family survives everything from therapy to photo shoots to radio interviews to long-distance relationships. Because you know it’s always an adventure with this group!
