Yesterday we told you all about how Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson went off on one of his Fast 8 co-stars for being a “candy ass.” What pray tell makes someone a candy ass? Well, in the words of The Rock, describing his co-workers in a withering Facebook post on Monday: “Some [male co-stars] conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don’t. The ones that don’t are too chicken shit to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses.” Shame! Shame on you, candy asses!
Naturally, the internet took this blind item and ran with it. Yesterday we ran through the suspects: Vin Diesel, Jason Statham, Ludacris, Scott Eastwood, and Tyrese Gibson (and thought it might be Tyrese). Well today TMZ seems to have confirmed that Vin Diesel is the candy ass.
TMZ reports that Johnson and Diesel haven’t been getting along during Fast 8‘s production. Why? Diesel is a producer on the film and he has been making choices that rankle Johnson. TMZ also found out that Johnson and Diesel had a tense tete-a-tete on set yesterday in an attempt to quell all the rumors and get on the same page. The tabloid outlet also reported that “almost the entire cast” is now livid with The Rock for causing all this controversy when they still have over a week of shooting to go.
