One glance at your social media today serves as a reminder that it is, in fact, Wednesday and there’s only one way to celebrate: by honoring a Woman Crush Wednesday!
This week’s WCW has already kicked so much butt in her career, and we haven’t even seen her in her biggest role yet. Felicity Jones is an Academy Award nominee, but all eyes will truly be on her this December when she stars in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story as Jyn Erso. In true Star Wars fashion, we don’t know a ton about the film or her character just yet, but we do know Felicity will be fantastic in it.

WHO’S THAT GAL: Felicity Jones
WHY WE’RE CRUSHING: For her impressive range of work, of course! Felicity is one of those actresses that has done a fantastic job of keeping her private life private, so that when viewers see her on screen, they really feel she is the character they’re watching. And this lady will make you feel. More often than not, you’ll walk away from watching her feeling something in your heart, in your soul, or maybe even feel a tear or two creeping down your cheek. Felicity has already portrayed a wide variety of characters, displaying so many different sides to her talent that we can’t help but get excited just thinking about what she’ll bring to the Star Wars franchise.

WHERE YOU’VE SEEN HER BEFORE: The U.K.-born actress first made real waves with U.S. audiences in Drake Doremus’ Like Crazy with Anton Yelchin in 2011, one of the best romance films of the past decade, for sure. She re-teamed with Doremus and Guy Pearce for Breathe In in 2013. In between those films, she starred in the cute rom-com Chalet Girl with Ed Westwick, available on Netflix now. Felicity has also appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, True Story with James Franco and Jonah Hill, and was nominated for an Oscar for Best Actress in The Theory of Everything with Eddie Redmayne.
WHERE YOU’LL SEE HER AGAIN: She’s got two big movies coming out in October: A Monster Calls with Sigourney Weaver and Liam Neeson, and then Inferno with Tom Hanks, who returns for the film adaptation of another Dan Brown book (you know, The Da Vinci Code guy). But it really all leads up to the December release of Rogue One. Yes, fourth months is a really long time…which makes it that much more exciting that a new trailer will be released tomorrow! Look out for the next peek at the movie during the Olympics to see Felicity shoot the camera even more badass looks. See you soon, Felicity!
