Amazon has greenlit a brand new Prime Video original series titled American Playboy: The Hugh Hefner Story. The 13-episode first season will chronicle the life of iconic Playboy Magazine founder Hugh Hefner, who provided nearly 17,000 hours of personal footage for the project.
According to a press release, the docuseries will feature snippets of archival footage, interviews, and cinematic reenactments in an effort to help detail Hefner’s rise to fame. Produced by Stephen David Entertainment and Alta Loma Entertainment, American Playboy will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in 2017. The narrative will begin with Hefner’s upbringing in post-war America prior to detailing Playboy’s 1953 launch and subsequent 60-year success.

According to a press release, Amazon has announced the debut of a brand new original preschool series titled The Stinky & Dirty Show. Based on the “I Stink!” book series and featuring celebrity voice talent from Whoopi Goldberg, Jane Lynch, Andy Richter, Joan Cusack and Wallace Shawn, the show will premiere on September 2 on Prime Video.
Netflix has unveiled the official trailer for comedians Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy’s forthcoming standup special, We’ve Been Thinking. Featuring solo appearances by both comedians at the Orpheum Theater in Minneapolis, the brand new feature will premiere on the platform on August 26:
