Final Shots: Hulu Nabs Streaming Rights To Sixth And Final Season of ‘Community’

Hulu has acquired the streaming rights to the sixth and final season of Community as part of a brand new licensing deal with Sony Pictures Television. The new contract officially completes the platform’s catalogue of the Dan Harmon-created cult comedy series.

According to a press release, all episodes of the show are now already available to subscribers. Aside from Community, the expanded pact also includes exclusive SVOD rights to two of WGN America’s hit drama series, Underground and Outsiders, as well as the remaining episodes of Rescue Me. All past episodes of Underground and Outsiders are currently available, with future episodes set to debut on the platform 8 days after their broadcast premiere. The newly-acquired episodes of Rescue Me will be available later this month.

The platform’s app reveals the year 2017 under the show’s catalogue title along with a brief description of the show, which is a spinoff for ruthless vigilante Frank Castle who first appears in Daredevil.
