Final Shots: Tom Clancy’s ‘Jack Ryan’ TV Series Confirmed For Amazon Prime Video

Amazon has officially greenlit a brand new Prime Video original series based on Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan. Co-produced by Paramount and Skydance Television, the 10-episode first season will star John Krasinski as the notoriously eager CIA analyst.

According to a press release, the SVOD exclusive will film in the US, Europe and Africa, and will recruit a slew of executive producers including Carlton Cuse, Graham Roland, Michael Bay, Brad Fuller, Andrew Form, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Marcy Ross, Mace Neufeld, and Lindsey Springer. Each one-hour episode was written by Roland and developed alongside Cuse, following Ryan “as he uncovers a pattern in terrorist communication that launches him into the center of a dangerous gambit with a new breed of terrorism that threatens destruction on a global scale.”

Anna Paquin (True Blood) has been cast opposite Sarah Gadon and Zachary Levi in Netflix’s forthcoming Alias Grace. The six-hour miniseries from Sarah Polley and Noreen Halpern’s Halfire Entertainment was inspired by Grace Marks’ historical murder conviction as depicted in Margaret Atwood’s novel. [Deadline]
