Netflix’s Expiring Shows And Movies: A Complete List Of What’s Leaving On September 1

August is coming to an end, which means two very important things to all of your streamers out there. On one hand, we’re all about to be treated to a bunch of new content from our favorite streaming services. But, because life is painfully fair, where there is gain, there is also loss. That’s a dramatic way of saying a bunch of prime titles are about to expire from Netflix very soon.

So what do you need to start watching immediately? Start practicing your Ray Romano impression becasue every episode of Everybody Loves Raymond is leaving Netflix later this week. Other big blows include the Ben Stiller cult comedy Zoolander, Disney’s classic tale of friendship and Elvis Lilo and Stitch, and Julianne Moore and Mark Ruffalo’s heartfelt meditation on the meaning of love and family The Kids Are All Right. Yeah, it’s going to be a rough month. Thankfully, streaming contracts like these are always shifting, so it’s likely that you’ll be seeing all or most of these titles again in the near future. Below is your complete list of what’s expiring this September. Grab a tissue, and start mourning.

Everybody Loves Raymond: Seasons 1-9

We may all love Ray Romano, but we better celebrate his iconic sitcom quickly. This ‘90s and early 2000s show is the ultimate family sitcom, and it’s leaving Netflix September 1. Starring Doris Roberts, Patricia Heaton, and Brad Garrett, this one will leave you screaming “Deborah!” in no time.

Zoolander (2001)

Out of all the movies in Netflix’s arsenal, this Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, and Will Ferrell cult comedy may have the most storied history. It feels like every other month, the title is either being added to or leaving the streaming platform. However, this month marks its (likely temporary) departure. What is this? A streaming service for ants? Grab an orange mocha frappuccino and start watching now.

The Kids Are All Right (2010)

Starring Julianne Moore, Annette Bening, Mark Ruffalo, Mia Wasikowska, and Josh Hutcherson, this dramedy is the perfect blend of what happens when a heartfelt indie script meets a mainstream cast. The movie follows two teenagers of a lesbian couple (Moore and Bening) who decide to find their father (Ruffalo). It’s beautiful, sad, confusing, and well worth the stream.

Fantastic Children’s Movies

September is a sad month for children’s entertainment. Two of Disney’s classic animated movies (and one Dreamworks movie) is leaving the service early this month. Both Lilo & Stitch and The Emperor’s New Groove are scheduled to leave the service on September 9, and How to Train Your Dragon 2 is supposed to leave on September 11. However, there is a silver lining. Zootopia is supposed to come to the streaming service later in September as part of Disney’s exclusive streaming deal with Netflix. Hopefully that means we can expect a more Mouse-ified streaming selection in our near future.

Open Water (2004)

Looking for an excuse to avoid the water? This man versus nature thriller is it. Open Water follows a group of divers who have to survive when their boat mistakenly leaves them in the middle of the ocean. Yes, it is terrifying, and yes, there are sharks. So many sharks. Between this movie leaving Netflix later in September and Netflix’s acquisition of four Jaws movies, you’ll be able to treat yourself to an all-shark marathon for a couple of weeks in September. Have fun and stay out of the water.
