Watch Ann Coulter Get Bullied By Jewel, Jeffrey Ross In Comedy Central’s ‘Roast Of Rob Lowe’ Previews

Comedy Central’s Roast of Rob Lowe won’t debut until Monday, September 5, but it’s already making headlines. Why? Well, it turned out that the Roast was secretly an excuse for a bunch of celebrities and comedians to attack Conservative pundit Ann Coulter. Coulter was ambushed by cruel attacks that told her to kill herself and a reference to her being a “Nazi c*nt.” Yesterday, she fired back at the cable network saying that mocking her had “something to do with Comedy Central’s corporate decision to move away from comedy.” Today, you can catch your first sneak peak at the insults flung at her.
Comedy Central released a bunch of clips on their website and two feature zingers hurled at Coulter. First, we have comedian and Roast alum Jeffrey Ross dressed as deceased pop star Prince mocking Coulter’s face and voting habits.

“Ann you have a face that would make doves cry,” said Ross. “You’re very beautiful, actually. You’re like a modern day Eva Braun.” (There’s a Nazi dig!)
Then there’s a surprising clip where pop star Jewel — you know Jewel, she’s supposed to be nice — lays into Coulter’s conservative politics and slight weight. “Ann, you do look great, though. You’re almost as thin as Donald Trump’s chance of winning the election.”

Two things are interesting about these short clips. One, the jokes aren’t nearly as brutal or dumb as early reports suggested. These are mean, but not outrageously so for a Roast. Is Comedy Central saving the really vile ones for the broadcast? Were they left on the cutting room floor?
Second, Ann Coulter does not look like she’s having fun. She has a frozen look on her face and an awkwardly polite smile. It’s kind of like she knows she’s being bullied, but she’s trying hard not to let her enemies see her crumble. Ann Coulter will not let these silly liberals win! She shall remain strong: unbowed, unbent, unbroken.

You can watch Comedy Central’s Roast of Rob Lowe on Monday, September 5 — which you can stream on Sling TV.
