The forthcoming third season of Netflix’s original drama series Bloodline will be the show’s last. The original order for Season 3 of the Kyle Chandler-starring and Sony Pictures Television-produced series was for 13 episodes, which the platform has now cut to 10 in addition to lowering licensing fees.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, both Netflix and Sony deny any bad blood in relation to the cancellation, which may have to do with Florida cutting its entertainment tax incentives program, which in turn makes the series much more costly to produce. Series creators and executive producers Todd A. Kessler, Daniel Zelman, and Glenn Kessler had previously divulged a plan for five or six total seasons of the drama.

Hulu is in the process of finalizing a straight-to-series order for a 9/11 drama series based on Lawrence Wright’s Pulitzer Prize-winning nonfiction book The Looming Tower. The 10-episode original series will focus on the touchy subject of the tragic events that led to the September 11 terrorist attacks. [Deadline]
Netflix has acquired director Tommy Wirkola’s post-apocalyptic sci-fi film What Happened To Monday? starring Noomi Rapace, Glenn Close, and Willem Dafoe. Written by Kerry Williamson and Max Botkin, the Toronto Film Festival premiere centers around a strict new society that only allows one child per family. [Variety]
