Woody Allen‘s very first television series, Crisis in Six Scenes, lands exclusively on Amazon later this month. The series takes Allen back to the time his own comedy career exploded: the 1960s. Allen — get this! — plays a neurotic writer struggling to write a television script in a time period where values and cultural mores seem to be changing. The legendary Elaine May plays his psychiatrist wife and Miley Cyrus is a free-spirited, pot-smoking hippie who storms into their lives with new ideas. Vulture has your first look at the official trailer.

Allen’s deal with Amazon Studios comes on the heels of his first collaboration with them, Café Society. Crisis in Six Scenes will only run for one six-episode season and every episode will debut on Amazon on September 30. The show also co-stars Rachel Brosnahan and John Magaro. Last week, Amazon shared a full clip from the series. We see Allen’s character, Sidney Muntzinger, fret over his appearance with his barber, a man who seems less-than-thrilled with Allen’s character’s latest novella.

Amazon is touting September as it’s first “Month of Comedy.” A new comedy series (or season of a half hour show) will arrive on the platform every Friday. Last week the first season of One Mississippi dropped, this week it’s Fleabag, next Friday we’ll get Season Three of Transparent, and Allen’s Crisis in Six Scenes will finish up the month.
