Black Mirror *Netflix Original

It seems fitting that Netflix would release Season Three of this dark sci-fi series during the month of Halloween. Structured as an anthology series, Black Mirror explores our dependance on technology through gorgeously stylized stories. It’s dark, often sinister, and will leave you awake at night. This month, Netflix is releasing six episodes — more than have ever been released in a Black Mirror season. You’ve been warned.

Shameless: Season 7 *Showtime

Possibly the worst family in comedy will be returning to you life soon. William H. Macy stars as Frank Gallagher, the booze-loving father of six for this atypical family. Last season, the critically adored comedy left us with a depressed Frank, who was oddly hilarious, so who knows what delights Season Seven will bring.

Chance: Series Premiere *Hulu Original

This October, Hulu is teaming up with Hugh Laurie (House) to create an all new thriller. Chance focuses on a San Francisco-based forensic neuropsychiatrist, but heads up. If this series is anything like the book it is based on, Laurie will be playing a very different doctor this time around.

Trollhunter (2010)

This found footage horror comedy about hunting for Scandinavian trolls is a lot more fun than it sounds. Trollhunters embraces its B-grade tone in a way that’s similar to What We Do in the Shadows, and the result is equal parts delightful and gross. If you love horror parodies, this one is definitely worth checking out.

Good Girls Revolt: Season One *Amazon Original

If you’re still looking for a workplace-focused period piece to replace Mad Men, Amazon has your back. Just pop open a beer and relax to two hours of rapid-fire jokes and awesome action sequences.
