‘Well’ (as Ronald Reagan would say), here we are. After five rounds of voting, a few upsets, several Bush’s, and more than a few Clintons, we’ve reached the FINALS of Decider’s Best Political Impressions bracket.

That’s right, we’re down to the final two, and you, the voting public, have until Noon Eastern on Wednesday October 5 to tell us who you think should be crowned Best Political Impression ever!

As for the last two standing, it’s a real David vs. Goliath matchup. Tina Fey’s Sarah Palin remains one of the great establishment-shaking (not to mention flat out hilarious) political impressions ever, a status reflected in her Number 1 seed in the ‘The 00’s’ region.

But who could have predicted that Fey-lin would be up against the little known (political impression-wise) Carl Weathers-as-Jesse Jackson performance from the 1988 election season? Taken from a debate sketch, Weathers performed the role only once. Yes, he may have had a relatively ‘easy’ road to the Finals, but five wins in a row is nothing to sneeze at.

So here we are. Palin vs. Jackson. FEY vs. WEATHERS. Who ya got?!

THE FINALS!

#1 Tina Fey’s Sarah Palin vs. #8 Carl Weathers’ Jesse Jackson, Jr (VOTE)

The impression that roiled the political and entertainment worlds. Fey’s understated carbon copy of the controversial vice-presidential candidate damned Palin with her own words, and made Fey a key player in an already bizarre presidential race.

It was a one-time appearance, but Rocky star Weathers perfectly captured Jackson’s infamous rhetorical flourishes. His smooth-talking take on the reverend-turned-politico showed us why Jackson became such a public force.
