Final Shots: Netflix’s Debuts Kooky Trailer For ‘Lemony Snicket’s A Serious of Unfortunate Events’

Netflix’s forthcoming pilot Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events starring Neil Patrick Harris has been given a premiere date of January 13th along with a kooky new teaser trailer. Based on the internationally best-selling series of books by Daniel Handler, the 8-episode SVOD original series also stars Joan Cusack and Patrick Warburton:

In an attempt to recruit new subscribers, Hulu has temporarily dropped the price of its ad-supported subscription service by $2 from $7.99/month to $5.99/month. The limited-time offer applies only to new subscribers and is valid for a whole year, after which the fee would increase to the original price.

Not only is Hulu one of the only streaming platforms to offer next-day SVOD access to major network shows, but it has been ramping up its line of original content like The Mindy Project and Casual as of late. The platform has also been dabbling in VR content, some of which should debut next year, in addition to a rumored standalone live television streaming service. Hulu’s premier commercial-free subscription option remains at $11.99/month for now.
