All-New ‘Triumph’s Election Watch 2016’ Tackles The First Trump/Clinton Debate, Nate Silver, & Gary Johnson!

Our favorite foul-mouthed political pundit, Triumph, The Insult Comic Dog, is back with a brand new edition of Triumph’s Election Special 2016 on Hulu today! The all-new special features coverage of Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton‘s first presidential debate, a talk with 538’s head poll analyst Nate Silver, and an interview with Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson. The new episode is a slick 30 minutes long

During the summer, we spoke to Triumph’s creator, Robert Smigel, about the process behind the specials and he explained the odd appeal of Triumph as pundit: “What Triumph offers that’s different is he can actually just run around to different events and pretty much say anything he wants to anybody, as opposed to just being angry to a studio show.” Smigel also shared that he is planing on doing specials up through the election and is in talks with Hulu to continue on as Triumph in some sort of regular capacity next year.

Check out a sneak peek below. It’s Triumph’s hard-hitting interview with Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson. At one point Johnson expresses fear that being followed by Secret Service all the time as President would change the quality of his life. “So you’re running for president, but you’re terrified of winning? I’d keep that quiet,” Triumph goofs.
