Remember last month when we told you about that insane GoPro user who filmed himself jumping into a hotel pool from the roof? Yeah, that guy is back, and he’s taken it to the next level without anyone asking. I’m not complaining because it’s pretty awesome, but I also don’t want this guy to die in the name of YouTube views.
My heart just stopped racing from last month’s roof-jumping fiasco when the YouTube account 8Booth dropped another video of some dude climbing an insane amount of stairs and jumping into another body of water. According to the video’s description and time stamps, the jump allegedly happened on October 16, and he jumped 129 feet into the relative safety of Newport Harbor. The new video makes the Laguna pool jump look like child’s play as our still unnamed thrill seeker barely clears the dock before triumphantly landing in the water. And I mean BARELY. I wouldn’t be surprised if he found splinters in the back of his baseball cap after this nonsense.
The new video features the same disguised figure as the Laguna jump, so it feels relatively safe to assume that we’ve been watching the same daredevil (not the one created by Marvel). The YouTube user has even given interviews to the press, even though he has yet to reveal his identity for obvious, trespassing-concerned reasons.
To 8Booth, whoever you are, thank you for all of your anxiety-inducing antics. Because of you, we’ve gotten several adrenaline rushes without ever having to leave our desks. But please for the love of god, stay safe. If you want more insanity, seriously check out 8Booth’s YouTube account.
