Game of Thrones season seven is currently almost a year away from us. Can you see it shining in the distance? It’s going to be the biggest thing of summer 2017! If only summer 2017 wasn’t so far away! To quote the ever-witty Tina Fey: “Blergh!”

Of course, there’s a silver lining to every cloud and there is some good news to glean out of Game of Thrones‘ production schedule. See, season seven of Game of Thrones is in production right now. That means that every day a new set photo is coming out, a new casting announcement is released, and a new season seven spoiler is leaked. Over the summer, we spilled the beans on seven things we already knew about season seven, but this is the solid gold spoiler territory that no one at HBO wants you to know about yet.

Some of these so-called spoilers are big fat duhs. Some of them are welcome surprises. Some of them are nothing more but whispers and rumors and conjecture. Keep in mind that everything is subject to change between now and next summer. Some of these scenes could be cut, some of them could be reimagined, and some of them, yes, might just be “dummies” to trip up the paparazzi.

Nevertheless, here are the juiciest Game of Thrones season seven spoilers making the rounds right now:

***MASSIVE SPOILER ALERT***

****WE WARNED YOU****

Get Ready For Some Meet Ups & Reunions!

got-hug

Get excited, folks! It looks like some of our all-time favorite Game of Thrones characters are going to finally meet! So far a number of surprising duos (and trios) have been sighted on set together. Who is meeting whom, you might ask? Well, here’s a quick rundown:

  • Tyrion Lannister and Ser Davos Seaworth have been spotted chatting over a rowboat on a coastline (that is probably on Dragonstone). [Source]
  • Jon Snow and Theon Greyjoy are poised to have a reunion. [Source]
  • Daenerys Targaryen and Missandei have been seen having a parlay on a new set with Ser Davos and Brienne of Tarth. (More on that new set in the next section, though…) [Source]
  • And Bran Stark will get to the Wall and hang out with Dolorous Edd. [Source]

Some Old Faves Are Back!

Yes, some of our favorite regular characters are finally meeting up, but some familiar faces we haven’t seen in a while will be back. Watchers on the Wall (which you’ll find is the best source for most of these reports) says that Red Priest Thoros of Myr and Beric Dondarrion will be joining the main action next season.

Also back — after rowing to nowhere? — Gendry! Yes! He and his hot anvil striking body will return!

Finally, our favorite new addition from last season, the Little Bear herself, Lyanna Mormont, has been seen on set. It looks as though she’ll be in a major battle scene along with all of Team Jon Snow next season.

Return To Dragonstone

got-s6-finale-1.09.50

Here’s where we get speculative, folks! Based on the set reports we’re getting out of Iceland, Spain, and Northern Ireland, it looks like not only will there be a search party North of the Wall, but a lot of action on the island of Dragonstone.

If Dragonstone sounds familiar, it’s because it was Stannis Baratheon’s seat of power. Before that, it was a special place to the Targaryen clan. According to tradition, it’s where Aegon the Conqueror and his sisters staged their original takeover of Westeros back in the day. It sounds like Dany will also be using it as a base of operations. It makes sense because in a way, it’s Dany’s one true home: Dragonstone was where she was born.

Dragonstone is also important in Westerosi lore because it’s where you can find a cache of dragonglass, or obsidian. You know, one of the only materials you can kill a White Walker with. The rumors trickling out right now hint that Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke are due for a shoot on the beach acting for Dragonstone. Cue: Jon and Dany meeting (and joining forces and taking over the Seven Kingdoms).

Enter The Dragonpit

got-dragon

It looks like another dragon-themed locale will pop up next season: the Dragonpit of King’s Landing.

The Dragonpit is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a massive vault-like structure that was built in the heart of King’s Landing to house all of the dragons of House Targaryen. It’s also one of the few major places we haven’t seen yet and spy reports suggest we’ll be seeing it next season. It’s supposedly where Dany meets up with Brienne and Davos. Which means…drumroll please…Dany will conquer King’s Landing next season.
