The Writers Guild Awards (WGA) has revealed its 2016 nominees, and among the candidates is Netflix’s hit sci-fi thriller series Stranger Things. The awards serve to recognize outstanding achievement in television, news and radio. Winners for which will be announced on February 19, 2017.

According to Deadline, HBO’s Westworld is also being considered in the same two categories, “New Series” as well as “Drama Series.” Oh, and remember that kooky silent episode of Netflix’s Bojack Horseman titled “Fish Out Of Water”? Well that’s been nominated in the “Animation” category, in addition to another Season 3 episode titled “Stop The Presses.” Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt has also been nominated in the comedy realm. Stranger Things, which is helmed by The Duffer Brothers, will return for a second season in 2017.

Netflix CCO Ted Sarandos claims that the SVOD platform will roll out “about 20” new original unscripted series in 2017. Among the planned content includes a previously announced competition reality series titled Ultimate Beastmaster, which will be hosted by Sylvester Stallone. [TheWrap]

Prior to last night’s Westworld finale, HBO delivered a brief sneak peek of James Franco and Maggie Gyllenhaal in the platform’s forthcoming ‘70s New York porn drama, The Deuce. Helmed by The Wire creator David Simon, the brand new 8-episode series has yet to receive a premiere date. [ScreenCrush]

YouTube Red has announced a brand new holiday special titled The Keys of Christmas, which will premiere on December 19th according to a press release. Helmed by Endemol Shine Beyond USA, the feature stars Mariah Carey, YouTube star Rudy Mancuso, and DJ Khaled among others and will feature original performances by Fifth Harmony, Boyce Avenue, and many more.

Netflix has unveiled the official trailer to Vine star Cameron Dallas’ forthcoming unscripted reality series, Chasing Cameron. The 10-episode series will follow the web sensation and his close circle of friends and family, contrasting his online presence with his personal life, and premieres on December 27:
