Season Two of Fuller House has just hit Netflix. It’s time to bundle up, put on some comforting hot chocolate, and veg out by catching up on one of the most mind-numbing shows currently on television. But as you’re watching, you may notice some new faces this season.
This season has added two new main characters to the already-full Fuller House: CJ (Virginia Williams) and Jimmy (Adam Hagenbuch). Who are these new people? Virginia Williams
Who is she playing?: Williams plays CJ, Steve Hale’s (Scott Weinger) new girlfriend and certifiable D.J. Tanner doppelgänger.
What’s going on with her in Season Two?: D.J. (Candace Cameron Bure) is having a rough second season. After spending most of Season One grappling over whether she should date her high school sweetheart Steve or her handsome vet co-worker Matt (Josh Brotherton), D.J. learns that both men has girlfriends. Williams comes in as Steve’s new girlfriend, another blonde who’s all about family, hugging, and being even sweeter than D.J.
How many episodes is she in?: You can expect to see CJ in six episodes.
What else has she been in?: Williams has been in everything from How I Met Your Mother and Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce to Strangers with Candy and Veronica Mars. It’s hard not to watch her performance as a tongue-in-cheek criticism of just how sugary D.J. Tanner is.
Adam Hagenbuch
Who is he playing?: Jimmy Gibbler, Kimmy’s (Andrea Barber) barely-discussed brother.
Fun fact: In the original Full House, Kimmy had a brother named Garth. Either Full House never mentioned Kimmy’s second brother or Fuller House decided plot continuity pales in comparison to the Kimmy / Jimmy joke.
What’s going on with him in Season Two?: Jimmy is Kimmy’s brother who shows up in Episode One after he decides to swing by the Tanner house while driving his RV to Portland. He kisses Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) in the first episode and soon after declares that he’s always been in love with her (establishing that he was supposedly part of Full House). He spends the rest of the season trying to win Stephanie over and making the Fuller House even fuller.
How many episodes is he in?: Jimmy is in seven episodes.
What else has he been in?: Hagenbuch has been in a few well-regarded projects. He’s starred in everything for The Perks of Being a Wallflower and the short-lived Undatable to Switched at Birth and Modern Family.
