According to Esquire, the premiere of the show’s forthcoming season was recently pushed to summer of 2017. The network’s president of programming Casey Bloys cited the changing weather as the reason for the delay, stating “executive producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss felt that the storylines of the next season would be better served by starting production a little later than usual.”
