‘Girlboss’ Trailer: Britt Robertson And Netflix A Perfect Fit In New Fashion Comedy

“Go ahead, underestimate me,” Britt Robertson’s Sophia growls in the new trailer for Netflix’s Girlboss, “I’ve got it all figured out.”

Yeah, we kinda doubt that, based on what we see in the Netflix series’ new trailer, which was released Monday. But she’s certainly on her way.

The upcoming dramedy, which launches April 21, follows Nasty Gal founder Sophia Amoruso, who turned her travails and triumphs building her fashion brand into a New York Times bestseller, #Girlboss. Kay Cannon (30 Rock) wrote the 13-episode series, which was produced by Charlize Theron (Monster), Amoruso and others.

The video above introduces Robertson (Life Unexpected) as Sophia, a scrappy, sassy hustler who realizes that she can buy vintage fashion in secondhand stores, then sell them for hundreds more on eBay. But just as she’s celebrating all the “dolla dolla bills” she’s amassing, she experiences her first taste of online backlash — and her profits plunge.

Jim Rash (Community) and RuPaul (RuPaul’s Drag Race) make appearances in the clip; the series’ cast also includes Ellie Reed (Chicago P.D.), Johnny Simmons (The Good Wife) and Dean Norris (Breaking Bad).
