Final Shots: Sling TV Is Netflix’s Deadliest Competition With More Viewing Hours Per Month

While Netflix has reached a whopping 75 percent of U.S. OTT households, one outlet analyzes how Sling TV has become a serious threat to the platform. New data suggests that the platform’s popular “skinny bundle” is the SVOD giant’s biggest threat when it comes to viewing hours per month.

According to The Daily Dot, live television streaming service Sling TV leads on a “per household” basis with 47 viewing hours per month. Netflix, on the other hand, averages about 28 hours of viewing time per home. While the figure is still significant, households are spending practically 25% more of their time streaming live television than watching SVOD content.
