Sterling Malory Archer
Played by: H. Jon Benjamin
Season 1 - 7: Archer is known professionally as the world's greatest spy. However, we know him as an alcoholic man-child with serious mommy issues and some of the most annoying habits in history. He also has an on-again, off-again relationship with Lana, the mother of his child.
Season 8: Archer's a private detective now, which means he's swapped his turtlenecks for a trenchcoat. He's currently trying to track down the killer of his partner, Woodhouse.

Lana Anthony Kane
Played by: Aisha Tyler
Season 1 - 7: Perhaps the only competent agent on the show, Lana is smart, quick, no-nonsense, and has giant hands. She's typically Archer's partner on missions and romantically. Though she's typically the most serious member of the team, Lana has been known to be selfish.
Season 8: Get ready to hear Aisha Tyler sing. For this season, Lana is a lounge singer and almost certainly Archer's romantic interest.
Played by: Aisha Tyler

Malory Archer

Season 1 - 7: The only TV mother more withholding than Malory is Lucille Bluth. Malory is the head of ISIS and later the team's various agencies. If the team is involved in anything highly illegal, Malory is definitely the culprit.
Season 8: Malory may not be Archer's mother, but you should still call her "Mother." Malory is an all-powerful crime boss who goes by that name. Surely this is a role that fits Malory better than the one she has in reality.

Season 1 - 7: Cyril used to be the team's accountant and Lana's boyfriend. However, though his sex addiction and status as the team's punching bag has never changed, his position has. Cyril has become another spy, and in Season 7, he became the head of the team's PI agency.
Season 8: Cyril has kept his newly acquired spy skills and is now a detective with Pam as his partner.

Season 1 - 7: How do you describe Pam, the former head of HR? On one hand, she's brash, violent, vulgar, and has a confusing history with the Yakuza. On the other hand, she's the one member of the team you're most likely to make cry. Regardless, she's incredible.
Season 8: Pam is now Cyril's detective partner and perhaps has the most interesting change of all. She is now, according to interviews with Reed, "living as a man."

Season 1 - 7: There's a lot of insanity in Archer, but Cheryl / Carol / Cherelene is definitely the most insane. The obscenely rich secretary loves to sniff glue, put off work, and engage in a myriad of bizarre sexual quirks. She was also a country singer for a while. Basically Cheryl can do anything she sets her mind to.
Season 8: She's exactly what she's always been and always will be -- a spoiled heiress that changes everything.

Season 1 - 7: Krieger is the team's mad scientist as well as a possible Nazi sympathizer. He's really the only member of the team that can go toe-to-toe with Cheryl's insanity. Yet despite all of his brilliance, he's often terribly ineffective.
Season 8: This season, he's part kooky bartender in Lana's club, part back alley doctor. There's no way this will go well.
Played by: Lucky Yates
Season 1 - 7: Krieger is the team's mad scientist as well as a possible Nazi sympathizer. He's really the only member of the team that can go toe-to-toe with Cheryl's insanity. Yet despite all of his brilliance, he's often terribly ineffective.

Season 1 - 7: The possible father of Sterling Archer, Len is the head of ODIN. He's one of Malory's former lovers and one of the few sane characters on this show.
Season 8: Len's coming back into our lives as a mob boss. Who knows what his relationship with Mallory will be, but it's sure to be contentious.
