Tonight’s exciting Game 1 matchup pits the #2 seed Cleveland Cavaliers against the the #7 seed Indiana Pacers. Can LeBron James, Kevin Love, and Kyrie Irving lead the Cavs to a repeat or will Paul George and the Pacers pull off a memorable upset?

WHAT TIME DOES THE CLEVELAND VS. INDIANA GAME START?

The Cavaliers and Pacers tip off at 3:00 p.m. Eastern.

HOW CAN I LIVESTREAM THE CAVALIERS VS. THE PACERS?

Game 1 of the Cavs/Pacers matchup will air on ABC, which means it will be available to stream on WatchESPN.com and ESPN’s excellent WatchESPN app. Unfortunately, you’ll need to authenticate with a cable provider if you want to watch the game on Watch ESPN, so get your (or your friend’s/parent’s!) login credentials ready.

Roundball fans watching in bigger markets (more on that below) can watch the live broadcast of the game at ABC.com or with the ABC app by signing in with a participating TV provider. Once you sign in, you can watch at abc.com/watch-live or you can select ‘live TV’ in the ABC app. Live streaming of Game 1 on ABC.com or the ABC app is available with a participating TV provider in the following markets: Chicago, Fresno, Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia, Raleigh-Durham, and San Francisco.

Another option for cord-cutters is PlayStation Vue. Subscribers to Vue’s ‘Access’ basic cable streaming service have access to ABC.

Finally, while a traditional NBA League Pass package is no longer available to purchase, there is NBA League Pass Audio. You can listen to all of the NBA Playoffs live by signing up with a one-time payment of $9.99.

CAN I LIVE STREAM GAME 1 WITH DIRECTV NOW?

It depends. If DIRECTV NOW offers a local ABC affiliate in your area, then yes, you can live stream the Cavs/Pacers game. Those areas include the following cities: Chicago, Fresno, Houston, L.A., New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, and Raleigh-Durham.

HOW CAN I GET THE WATCH ESPN APP?

If you consider yourself a sports fan and you haven’t already downloaded the free Watch ESPN app for your iOS, Android or Windows Mobile device, you’re doing it wrong. Rectify that situation immediately! You can also tune-in via Watch ESPN’s Roku channel, using your Amazon Fire TV or Chromecast device, or by visiting WatchESPN.com on your desktop or laptop computer. (NOTE: You’re going to need to authenticate with your cable provider, so make sure you have your login and password for your cable system handy.)

WHERE CAN I DOWNLOAD THE ABC APP?

You can download the ABC app on Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Roku, XBOX 360, on supported Android devices from the Google Play store, on supported Kindle Fire tablets from the Amazon Appstore, and on supported Apple devices at the App Store. The ABC app accepts a wide variety of cable providers like DIRECTV, Optimum, Verizon, DISH, and Xfinity, but Time Warner Cable subscribers are out of luck as TWC isn’t a current provider for the app.

HOW CAN I SIGN UP FOR PLAYSTATION VUE?

Over 100 of your favorite channels — including ESPN, FOX, Comedy Central, and FX — are available with PlayStation Vue. The service also allows you to stream a multitude of TV stations on your favorite device without a cable or satellite subscription. From their “Access” package that includes 45+ channels for $39.99 a month to their “Ultra” package that includes 90 channels plus HBO and Showtime for $74.99 a month, the service offers a variety of exciting opportunities for cord-cutters.

HOW CAN I GET DIRECTV NOW?

DIRECTV NOW is a new streaming service from AT&T you can enjoy for as little as $35 per month. Available to watch on your TV, computer, or while you’re on the go, DIRECTV NOW offers flexible packages like the “Live a Little” package — which features 60+ channels (including ESPN and ESPN 2) for $35 month — and the “Gotta Have It” package — which features 120+ channels for $70 a month.
