Final Shots: Amazon’s ‘Patriot’ Renewed For A Second Season

Amazon has renewed its hit original drama series Patriot for a second season. Starring Michael Dorman as a PTSD-riddled intelligence officer named John Tavner, who has a hectic and complicated life, the Prime Video original series will officially return with creator-writer-director Steven Conrad back at the helm.

According to a Deadline, the second installment of the series will be executive produced by Conrad along with James Parriott, Glenn Ficarra, John Requa, Charles Gogolak and Gil Bellows. The first season of the series, which also stars Terry O’Quinn, Kurtwood Smith and Michael Chernus and was recently selected to premiere at the Berlin Film Festival “Berlinale,” is now available to subscribers online at Amazon.com/PatriotTV.

Netflix has finally announced the premiere date for Season 2 of Bill Burr’s animated original comedy series, F Is for Family. The hit adult cartoon follows disgruntled blue-collar worker and family man Frank Murphy (voiced by Burr) and will return on May 30:

Netflix has acquired t the first two seasons of hit Swedish dramedy The Bonus Family for global distribution outside of Scandinavia. The series, which was produced by FLX, follows four characters as they enter new relationships with new partners who have children after their previous relationships failed. [Variety]

None other than rapper Tyler, the Creator has crafted the brand new theme song for Netflix’s forthcoming original series Bill Nye Saves the World. The opening credits of the track seem to take after the original Bill Nye the Science Guy theme. [Click here to listen]

Netflix has released the official trailer for Indian comedian Vir Das’ new stand-up comedy special: Abroad Understanding. The one-hour original feature, which combines two shows into one international event, premieres Tuesday, April 25:
