UPDATE: No need to worry, Prime members. Your favorite HBO shows aren’t slipping away after all. As an Amazon spokesperson told us: “These titles will not be leaving the service. The titles were mislabeled within the system and the deal has not expired.”

Phew — you’ve still got plenty of time to binge-watch the adventures of Tony Soprano.

If you’ve been meaning to watch The Wire for quite some time now and you’re an Amazon Prime member, you better get on it ASAP.

As of May 21st, a whole bunch of HBO shows will no longer be available on Prime Video. According to Vulture, this is exactly three years after HBO and Prime came to a syndication agreement to offer their shows on the streaming platform. Since then, HBO Now came to be and the game has changed. While HBO and Amazon have yet to comment on the situation, it does not appear that the deal will be renewed.

So what’s leaving? Well, more than a dozen beloved HBO shows. This includes The Sopranos, Deadwood, Six Feet Under, Flight of the Conchords, True Blood, The Comeback, Eastbound and Down, Enlightened, Bored to Death, and the first two seasons of Girls and Veep, which are currently the only seasons of those comedies available on Prime Video. And yes, everyone’s number one “I swear I will watch it someday” show, The Wire will also be gone.

The deal was set up, in a way, to lure people into an HBO subscription in the first place, to give viewers a taste of the programming they could be enjoying regularly. Many of the shows available on Prime had been over for years and this was a way for people to binge them if they missed them when they aired. Plus, shows such as True Detective and Game of Thrones were left out of the deal, so if you wanted to see the slaying of criminals and/or dragons, you had to get HBO for that.

The good news is that these shows aren’t disappearing from the internet forever, of course. You can still binge them on HBO Now and HBO Go with an HBO subscription. And if you’re loyal to Prime Video, you can get yourself a subscription to HBO via Amazon Channels, or shell out the dollars to buy seasons and episodes on Amazon Video. Omar will be waiting for you.
