The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has always been able to deliver the fireworks and last night’s Season Seven finale was no exception. For the past few weeks, we’ve watched the ladies dish it out in not one, not two, but three Reunion specials. It turns out the biggest drama of the season was served up thanks to an adorable stuffed bunny. Yes, a bunny.

So here’s the background: Lisa Rinna and Kim Richards do not like each other. Why? That’s not important. What’s important is that these two rich, beautiful, complicated, bedeviled women don’t like each other and they are forced to interact on television for our amusement. So, Lisa decided to give Kim’s grandson a lovely toy bunny. However, Lisa never knew if Kim gave the boy the small token of friendship. When this was brought up at the Reunion, Kim dramatically reached behind her couch and revealed that she had not given the bunny to her grandson. In fact, it was still wrapped in crinkling cellophane. The rest of the ladies squirmed and cringed as Kim said she did not believe it was given “with good energy.” She returned it to Lisa and then Lisa began to cry.

Okay, so that’s a lot, right? Last night, viewers finally got the aftermath. Rinna, who called the returned gift the “most humiliating thing that’s ever happened,” fired back and called Kim “sick.” Then she declared that Kim was using her as a “meal ticket” and as a way onto the show. This last burn was promptly rebutted by Kyle Richards, who pointed out that she and her sister Kim were the first two cast members on the show. Lisa Vanderpump (YES, ANOTHER LISA), another original cast member, grimaced slightly at this.

So why all this over a bunny? I don’t know. However, the bunny does get a happy ending. After Kyle Richards declared, “Nobody wants the bunny,” one kind, or at least savvy, soul did chime in. Host and producer Andy Cohen said, “I want the bunny. The clubhouse, I want it for the clubhouse.”

And so the bunny shall live and so the bunny shall remain…not a toy for a child, but a totem of bitter, petty drama.
