Final Shots: YouTube Red Announces ‘Lindsey Stirling: Brave Enough’ Documentary

YouTube Red announced today a brand new documentary Lindsey Stirling: Brave Enough, which centers on the YouTube star and electronic violinist. The platform will partner with award-winning production company Magical Elves on the forthcoming original feature.

According to a press release, the film follows the artist on her worldwide tour in support of her third studio album Brave Enough and features performances, in-depth interviews and never-before-seen personal footage. It will give fans a rare look at the tragedies and triumphs that shaped Stirling’s career. Directed by Emmy Award-winning filmmakers Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz (Justin Bieber: Never Say Never and Katy Perry: Part of Me), the exciting new feature will premiere exclusively via the platform on May 17.

Amazon today announced its brand new original kids series, Dino Dana, is scheduled to premiere on Friday, May 26 on Prime Video. Combining live-action with CGI animation, the preschool-level program – which is a follow-up to 2015’s Dino Dan: Trek’s Adventures – will take viewers on a whole new level of dinosaur encounters. Netflix is reportedly in talks to board the J.C. Chandor-directed, Charles Roven-produced drama Triple Frontier, which had been dropped by Paramount. If the deal goes through, the platform would offer those lead roles to Ben Affleck and Casey Affleck to join Mahershala Ali in the film. [Deadline]

AwesomenessTV announced a brand new movie deal with Netflix, as well as five series renewals and plans to launch a news channel dubbed Awesomeness News. The Netflix original film, titled You Get Me, centers on a high-school student stuck in a crazy love triangle and will premiere Friday, June 16. [Variety]

Netflix has released the official trailer for Norm Macdonald’s new stand-up comedy special Hitler’s Dog, Gossip & Trickery. The one-hour original feature, during which the comedian sarcastically tackles topics such as the acronym “I.D.,” premieres Tuesday, May 9:
