Twitter has launched a brand new TV app for Roku, which will soon be your source for free live streaming television. The social media platform launched similar apps on Apple TV, Fire TV and Xbox One over the past few months.
According to Variety, the new app, which doesn’t require a log-in, lets users watch live video streams through Twitter and Periscope and browse their timeline. The platform revealed last month that it plans to stream ad-supported live video content 24/7 in the near future. Twitter has also entered into digital content partnerships with Major League Baseball, the NFL, Viacom, the WNBA, BuzzFeed, Bloomberg Media, Live Nation, the PGA, Ben Silverman’s Propagate, and IMG Fashion in recent months.

Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight is contemplating a musical adaptation of the hit BBC Two/Netflix drama. While the idea is only in its development stages, Knight says he has been approached by more than one “very, very respectable” party interested in a West End reproduction. [Deadline]
BroadwayHD, a digital streaming platform for Broadway productions, has added 3 new shows to its collection of over 170 productions available on-demand. According to a press release, Disney’s Broadway Hits at Royal Albert Hall (2016) will be available starting May 15, Daddy Long Legs (2015) starting June 12, and On the Exhale (2017) starting June 19 exclusively on BroadwayHD.
Showtime has released the official trailer to its forthcoming original documentary, Becoming Cary Grant, which will debut at Cannes this month. The film, which airs June 9, reportedly “explores [the Hollywood actor’s] long journey from childhood poverty to global fame and from darkness out into the light.”
