For all intents and purposes, that’s exactly what happens in Logan, Hugh Jackman’s superhero swan song. Director James Mangold pushes the iconic X-Man out of his fights and tights comfort zone and drops him in the middle of a grisly drama—one that’s also a heartbreaking meditation on the importance of family. If you’re you’re not ready to slash into Logan at full price, you can wait until it’s available to rent on May 23.

Who would have thought that “LEGO” would eventually become its own animation subgenre? Here we are, three years after the box office success of The LEGO Movie and there’s another critically-acclaimed, mega-hit movie based on the building brick toy line. The LEGO Batman Movie pulled in over $300 million at the worldwide box office. With its refreshingly upbeat humor and surprisingly heartfelt story, The LEGO Batman Movie is the perfect counterpoint to Batman v Superman‘s grim proceedings. This is a Batman movie you can watch with the whole family! You’ll have to wait a little while to rent it, though.
