Final Shots: Netflix’s ‘Castlevania’ Trailer Will Take You Back To Your Nintendo Days

Netflix has finally unveiled an official teaser for its forthcoming Castlevania series and it will seriously take you back to your early Nintendo days. The trailer provides a first look at the animated original series which premieres exclusively via the platform on July 7.

The brand new adaptation of the classic NES game is produced by Adi Shankar and centers on the last surviving member of a disgraced clan who fights to save Eastern Europe from Dracula. The brand new clip begins with a gamer blowing on a Castlevania cartridge before inserting it into a classic NES system, after which a selection is made and the trailer begins playing. The nostalgic new series touts a voice cast including Fred Tatasciore, Alejandra Reynoso, James Callis, Tony Amendola and Emily Swallow.

Amazon has ordered a brand new drama series about the famous Egyptian queen, Cleopatra. The Prime Video original project, which will focus on the ancient ruler’s conquest for the throne and to restore honor to her family, hails from the Black Sails creators Jonathan E. Steinberg and Robert Levine as well as executive producer Dan Shotz. [Deadline]

Amazon has also nabbed exclusive first-window streaming rights to Steven Soderbergh’s forthcoming film Logan Lucky. The heist comedy, which will premiere on Prime Video in the first quarter of 2018, stars Channing Tatum and Adam Driver among others and centers on two brothers who set out to execute an elaborate robbery. YouTube Red has unveiled the all-star cast for the second season of Escape the Night, the popular murder mystery series starring Joey Graceffa. According to a press release, Graceffa will will be joined by Tyler Oakley, Lauren Riihimaki (LaurDIY) and Andrea Russett among others in the forthcoming 12-episode season which premieres June 22. Netflix has released the official trailer to director Oren Uziel’s debut film Shimmer Lake, premiering June 9. Starring Benjamin Walker, as well as Stephanie Sigman, Wyatt Russell, and Rainn Wilson, the forthcoming crime thriller centers around a local sheriff on a quest to solve a mysterious bank heist:
