With a name like The Mountain, becoming the World’s Strongest Man should be a no-brainer. But for Hafthor Bjornsson, who many know from Game of Thrones, sometimes the title is just one point away.

While you were lifting hotdogs into your mouth this weekend, he was lifting 700-pound weights and competing in the World’s Strongest Man competition, where he unfortunately came in second to Britain’s Eddie Hall. See, Bjornsson did a non-rep which he claims is completely fair, but the ref called it a double dip, and that led to Hall winning by just one rep.

Bjornsson was initially understandably pissed, and wrote on Instagram, “This weekend I was robbed. The integrity of my beloved sport is in question.” He has since deleted the message and posted this more diplomatic one instead:

Bjornsson will probably take a quick moment to cool down, and then enter the competition again, due to the fact that he’s finished in the top 3 six times, and this is his second time coming in #2. Plus, he’s only 28 years old, so there will be more opportunities for him to lift 700 lbs like it ain’t no thang. Oh, and Hall decided to retire after he earned the title, so now that he’s out of the way, it’s time for The Mountain to climb to the top.
