**Who Framed Roger Rabbit?**

This modern classic integrates live action and cartoon characters in a seamless, entertaining fashion as a grumpy detective is forced to team up with a cartoon rabbit to prove his innocence when he's framed for murder. This experimental 1940 film found Disney animators setting iconic images to classical music and changed the landscape of animation forever. **Finding Dory**

Your favorite forgetful fish is back in this worthy sequel to the beloved *Finding Nemo* as she begins a search to find her long-lost family no matter where it takes her. Full of just as many heartwarming and funny moments as the first, this sequel will not disappoint.

**The Nightmare Before Christmas**

This stunning stop-motion flick introduces us to the iconic Jack Skellington, the king of Halloween Town, as he discovers Christmas Town and confuses the demented residents of his own spooky home as he tries to integrate the holiday cheer into their everyday darkness. **The Parent Trap** (1961)

Before LiLo double-timed us, Hayley Mills played twins in the original version of this family comedy and won our hearts with their take on the bait-and-switch. This delightful flick will remind you why you fell in love with the 1998 version in the first place.

**Tarzan**

This beloved animated classic ranks among some of Disney's most popular flicks of the 1990s, and it's not hard to see why. The story of a young man raised by apes who discovers he's human after encountering a young woman is one that will move even the most cold-hearted of viewers, and the film's well-known songs helps it to deliver twice the nostalgia.

**Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey**

If you're affected by tales of pets in predicaments in any way, come prepared with tissues for this one. This 1993 adventure film follows three pets as they escape from a California ranch to find their owners in San Francisco, and as the family and pets continually *just* miss each other on their searches, it's hard not to become emotionally invested.

**Pete's Dragon**

This 2016 remake of the 1977 classic somehow manages to maintain its endearing charm and whimsy. The story of an orphan's adventures with his best friend Elliot (a dragon) is enchanting and genuinely delightful. In an age where reboots seem to be more money-hungry than story-heavy, this film delivers a thoughtful story with a dedicated cast.

**Lilo & Stitch**

There are few other ways to describe this wonderful animated story than "magical", because it is exactly that. The story of a young girl who takes home a strange pet and soon discovers that he's not what he seems is layered with more messages and emotion than initially meets the eye, and the beautiful accompanying animation makes this worth several rewatches.

**The Emperor's New Groove**

When the colorful Emperor Kuzco is turned into a llama by his evil ex-administrator Yzma, he is forced to befriend a humble llama herder named Pacha to help him escape this predicament. Hilarious for viewers of all ages, this flick should rank among some of the best animated films that Disney has ever put out.

**Fantasia 2000**

**Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl**

The latest installments of the franchise may draw ire and disappointing box office performances, but the film that started it all remains an exciting, funny adaptation of the beloved Disney attraction. It may be spooky for the younger ones, but Jack Sparrow's silly antics offer fun for the whole family. Starring Johnny Depp, Keira Knightley, and Orlando Bloom, this swashbuckler film is the epitome of an enjoyable summer blockbuster.

**Cool Runnings**

After a Jamaican sprinter is disqualified from the Olympics, he seeks the help of a has-been coach to help him found the first Jamaican Bobsled team ever. While the team doesn't initially take the disgraced coach seriously, they eventually form a bond, and the camaraderie and confidence that builds takes them to places they never dreamed of going. This is a classic sports flick - funny, exciting, and seriously inspiring.

**Sky High**

Superheroes go to high school in this quirky comedy, and as the son of two big-time superheroes (played by Kurt Russell and Kelly Preston), Will Stronghold is expected to be a power house - except for the fact that he has no idea what his powers are, and he hasn't told anyone. As Will makes friends and discovers what lies within, this gang of adolescents must battle puberty and villains to save the world as they know it.
