Sex scenes are the norm on Showtime‘s The Affair, but Ruth Wilson doesn’t always strip down for her steamy nude encounters. These scenes were performed by body double Ashlynn Alexander, who recently filed a lawsuit alleging that she was objectified and humiliated in front of the crew and dismissed from the show after reporting sexual harassment.

According to TMZ, the suit, filed against Showtime, the network’s production company, and the assistant director, claims that Alexander was the target of inappropriate conduct on set. Alexander states that the assistant director posted the call sheet for a scene and listed her as “Alison Sexytime Double”. Alexander stands in for Wilson’s character Alison, who is often naked on the show, and she took offense with the language.

Alexander claims she met with the assistant director and confronted him, and he admitted that the language used on the call sheet was inappropriate. Despite this, however, he demeaned her, telling her she was disposable and easily replaced. Six days later, she was fired from The Affair.

Showtime has not commented, but according to Alexander’s suit, they claim she was let go because her hair color “wasn’t a good match” anymore.

Alexander always wore a wig during her nude scenes.
