Well, you made it through another week. For the next two days, you can totally unplug and escape–and there’s no better escape than a good movie! You know every Friday is New on VOD Friday here at Decider, the day when we give you the rundown on all the new flicks now available to rent or buy. Whether you use Amazon VideoiTunesVudu or your cable’s on demand service, there are a lot of new releases out there waiting to be discovered.

If you missed it in theaters and didn’t feel like shelling out the big bucks for it a few weeks ago, you’ll be thrilled to know that you can now rent Alien: Covenant. If you first saw the Alien films when they aired after midnight on basic cable, then renting this one and crawling under the covers might bring back a ton of warm (or terrifying?) memories. If you want more chills, you can also try to stomach Kuso, the bodily-fluid-filled horror film notorious for causing people to walk out of screenings!

What else can you buy or rent this week? Find out by taking a look at the collection of animated features, chilling horror films, and captivating documentaries now available for you to enjoy from the comfort of your very own home!

Baywatch

Make the most of the final weeks of summer by checking out the epitome of summer beachy excess: Baywatch. Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron headline this reboot of the mega popular ’90s syndicated TV series, a film that emphasizes big explosions and broad jokes as well as slow motion running (because it’s not Baywatch without slow motion running). And as usual when it comes to new releases, you’ll have to wait a few weeks if you just want to rent the Rock’s latest movie.

DCU: Batman and Harley Quinn

The long-running and fan favorite DC animated universe continues with another exciting installment, this one pairing Batman up with a wild new partner: Harley Quinn. When Poison Ivy teams up with the Floronic Man to overthrow humanity, Batman’s left with no choice but to team up with Ivy’s ex-BFF Harley Quinn. The film features longtime Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy as the Dark Knight and The Big Bang Theory’s Melissa Rauch, who makes her debut as Harley Quinn.

The Phantom

If you’re in the mood to slam evil after this week, then the campy superhero movie The Phantom might be just what you need. Set in 1938, this film based on the classic comic strip zips Billy Zane up in a skintight purple bodysuit and sets him at odds against a majorly corrupt businessman (Treat Williams) hellbent on acquiring some ancient mystical artifacts. Is The Phantom a great film? Not really. Is The Phantom a rollicking battle between good and evil set on the eve of World War II? You bet it is. And you can rent it for just under a buck? Uh, what are you waiting for?!
