How to Live Stream the Games On The 2017 College Football TV Schedule This Season

If you’re interested in watching college football all season long, you’ve come to the right place. There are several great ways you can stream college football games online, with or without cable. The trickiest part is figuring out how you can watch your favorite teams, since there are so many networks broadcasting games on the NCAA college football schedule.

This is why we put together our guide last year on each of the networks broadcasting games this year. We’ve updated that for this year with any and all changes from last season. Keep reading to get yourself ready to watch all season long!

If you could only get one channel during the college football season, ESPN would be the safest bet. That’s because it’s the lead broadcaster for NCAA Football games as it owns the broadcast rights to around 50% of all games aired on TV. There are multiple conferences with games on ESPN’s networks, including the SEC, Big Ten, Pac-12, and much more.

The channels broadcasting games include ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, SEC Network, Goal Line, ESPNU, ESPNews, Campus Insiders Network, and also ABC. The simplest way to stream games from ESPN is on the WatchESPN app and website. You can sign onto WatchESPN with your credentials for your cable TV subscription. This’ll get you access to ESPN, ESPN2, and EPSN3 at least. Any of the other channels will be available if they’re already included in your cable subscription and you can simulcast ABC games on ESPN3.

If you don’t have cable, there are two ways you can still get access. Some internet providers offer free, but limited access, so check this list to see if yours is there. Another way to watch without cable is through a streaming service, like DIRECTV NOW, Sling TV, or PlayStation Vue.

DIRECTV NOW starts at $35 per month and lets you watch more than 60 cable channels live streaming. You can see the full list of channels included here. Another streaming service, PlayStation Vue, offers a similar package with around 50 channels for a starting price of $40 per month. Both DIRECTV NOW and PlayStation Vue offer free trials, so you can give the service a test run.

You can watch ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPN3 on Sling TV, but make sure you choose the “Sling Orange” starting package. This package costs $20 per month and you can always add some of the other ESPN networks mentioned above through an add-on package. For example, the Sports Extra add-on package brings in about 10 additional sports networks for just $5 more per month.

Every week, the Saturday night game will be broadcast on ABC. The game comes on under the ESPN on ABC name and can easily be streamed on the WatchESPN app. The majority of these games will be simulcast on ESPN3.

You could also use the ABC Go app, which you can access with your cable TV provider credentials. But, this is only available in certain markets, including Chicago, Raleigh-Durham, Fresno, Philadelphia, Houston, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.

DIRECTV NOW, Sling TV, and PlayStation Vue will also offer local ABC affiliates, but these are also only available in select regions. DIRECTV NOW and Vue offer this in the base starting package. On Sling TV, you’ll need to add the $5 per month Broadcast Extra add-on package.

Numerous SEC games are broadcast on CBS each season. In fact, the network often gets to choose its game of the week, so you usually have some great matchups, including the always popular Army-Navy game.

CBS All Access is a streaming service directly from the network. You can live stream whatever CBS broadcasts in your area for just $5.99 per month. This is available in numerous markets across the country and you can start a free trial to see how it works for you.

PlayStation Vue was the only streaming service for quite some time that offered a CBS live stream. You can get it in the starting package offered, but only select areas will get the live stream.

Another service, fuboTV, also offers CBS streaming in select markets. The starting package costs $35 per month and has a heavy focus on sports networks. ESPN isn’t available here, but you can watch FS1, NBCSN, beIN Sports, and several more sports-focused channels.

NBC is a key network to have access to, especially if you’re a Notre Dame fan. Every single of the team’s home games will be broadcast on NBC. You can stream these games and any others on NBC right with your cable TV credentials on the NBC Sports app. You can also get access to the app with a subscription to DIRECTV NOW, PlayStation Vue, or fuboTV. All three also offer NBC live streams in select markets.

Sling TV also offers an NBC live stream in certain areas. You’ll need the “Sling Blue” starting package for $25 per month. Full access to the NBC Sports app is limited, but you should be able to stream the games on the NBC Sports website.

FOX will be broadcasting games from several networks including Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-12, and Conference USA. The FOX Sports Go app will be a great way to watch these games across several FOX channels.

You can get access to the FOX Sports Go app with either a cable TV login or your credentials from Sling TV, DIRECTV NOW, fuboTV, or PlayStation Vue. All of these will also offer FOX live streams in select regions.

6 Big Ten Network

The Big Ten Network broadcasts around 40 conference games each year. One of the easiest ways to stream these games will be on the BTN2Go app. You can sign on with your login credentials for your cable provider. The only other option is PlayStation Vue, but you’ll need one of the more expensive packages, since the Big Ten Network isn’t included in the starting package.

Regardless of which channel you’re trying to watch games on, you’ll have plenty of options to watch each game. Hopefully you’re now ready to stream all of your favorite team’s games this year!
