The show wasn’t live from New York but it was still another Emmy win for Saturday Night Live.

Alec Baldwin’s highly-publicized portrayal of Donald Trump resulted in Emmy gold as the comedian captured the Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy honor for his work on Saturday Night Live. In typical Baldwin fashion, the comedian couldn’t help but poke fun at Trump while accepting his Emmy.

“I suppose I should say that after long last Mr. President, here is your Emmy,” poking fun at Trump’s repeated insistence that his old NBC reality series The Apprentice should have won an Emmy.

Baldwin’s victory is even more impressive when you factor in the array of immensely talented actors who were nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy. The frequent SNL sketch star defeated Louie Anderson (Baskets), Tituss Burgess, (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), Ty Burrell (Modern Family) Tony Hale (Veep), and Matt Walsh (Veep).

This wasn’t the first time Baldwin’s name has been called during an Emmy ceremony. Tonight’s victory is the actor’s third Emmy victory, as the actor won back to back Outstanding Lead Actor awards for his portrayal of Jack Donaghy on 30 Rock in 2008 and 2009. Fans of Baldwin’s Trump impression will be treated to more of the same in the upcoming season. Earlier this week, Baldwin said he’d be returning to the long-running late-night staple as Trump for the season premiere of Saturday Night Live.

Earlier in the show, Kate McKinnon nabbed an Emmy for Best Supporting Actress in a comedy. Two early wins for the comedy series that earned a record 22 Emmy nominations this year.
