Emmy Loser Jackie Hoffman Screams “DAMN IT” After Supporting Actress Defeat

FEUD: Bette and Joan

The most cliched thing you hear at awards shows is “It’s an honor just to be nominated.” Not Jackie Hoffman, though. She’s quickly turning into an Internet legend for her total hissyfit meltdown after losing the Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series to Laura Dern.

Hoffman played the role of Mamacita, Joan Crawford’s loyal and feisty housemaid, on the FX hit show Feud: Bette And Joan. When the camera panned over the nominees for the Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series win, you could clearly make out Hoffman screaming “DAMN IT! DAMN IT!” after presenter Riz Ahmed crushed her Emmy dreams and announced Big Little Lies star Laura Dern as the winner instead.

So, was she seriously upset?

It appears not. She also changed her official Twitter bio to “http://I’m kidding.”

Or was she?

Somehow we don’t think Laura Dern is going to find accusations that she “runs a child porn ring” and “looted art from Nazi victims” funny, even if it’s meant to be a joke.

Regardless of how this pans out, this is turning into the most memorable moment of the 2017 Emmy Awards.
