You’ve waited 11 long years for more of Will & Grace (and Jack and Karen), and that wait is almost over! Even though it looked like this Must See TV fab four took their final bows back in 2006, they’re coming back for more. NBC’s revival season is on the way (and another is on the way after that)–but when?! First things first, let’s revisit where we left the quartet way back in 2006.

Where did we last leave Will, Grace, Jack, and Karen?

The series finale ran through the rest of the lives of our main characters, showing Will (Eric McCormack) and Grace (Debra Messing) grow apart and raise children without their bestie in their lives. The pair reunite when their kids go to the same college, and those kids ultimately marry (thus bringing Will and Grace closer together than ever). So wait–if we already saw the rest of Will and Grace’s lives play out, where will the new season fit in? There are no loose ends to tie up!

There’s actually no need to worry about where we left off with these characters, because the relaunch isn’t going to address anything from the final episode (or even the final season). Entertainment Weekly revealed that the new season will present both Will and Grace as single and childfree and still living in their apartment. Jack (Sean Hayes) and Karen (Megan Mullally) won’t be roommates like they were in the finale, either, meaning that the new Will & Grace will actually look a lot like classic Will & Grace–except set in the year 2017. Harry Connick, Jr., who played Grace’s longtime love interest and (now retconned away) husband will pop up in the new series, although it’s not yet known in what capacity.

Okay, so when does Will & Grace come back?

The all-new 9th season of Will & Grace will debut on NBC on Thursday, September 28 at 9PM ET–the same time slot that the show had way back when it was first on the air. And if you don’t have cable or a TV with an antenna, there is a way to watch Will & Grace online. All you need is access to the internet and a Hulu account. You can take advantage of Hulu’s new Live TV service and watch the new season as it airs live (or later using the service’s DVR feature). If you just have a regular Hulu account, then you’ll be able to watch the new season of Will & Grace on Hulu as it airs (albeit a day later) beginning on September 29.

Get ready, because Will & Grace’s return is just around the corner!
