If you’re a big fan of Stephen King, then 2017 has been keeping you busy. The Mist became a TV show, The Dark Tower came (and went) at theaters, and the acclaimed It adaptation broke all sorts of records. 2017 ain’t over yet, and there’s still more King on the way–including a chilling feature film from Netflix.

The streaming service just dropped the first trailer for 1922, a drama/horror film based on a 2010 novella by King. The film stars Thomas Jane as a farmer so into his life as a farmer that he snaps when his wife (Molly Parker) says she wants to move. The two butt heads, leading her to declare she will leave the farm and take their son with her. The farmer doesn’t take that so well, and an ominous well on their property soon becomes home to his wife’s dead body.

The story doesn’t end there, of course. As the creepy as hell trailer says, your darkest secrets never stay buried–especially when a sheriff (Brian d’Arcy James) starts poking around your property. That’s just the beginning, as you can’t have a Stephen King movie without totally disturbing imagery, this time of menacing ghosts (?) and just a ton of rats.

The film comes from writer/director Zak Hilditch and also stars Dylan Schmid, Kaitlyn Bernard and Neal McDonough. 1922 will hit Netflix on October 20th, just in time for the Halloween holiday.
