If you watched Gerald’s Game on Netflix, chances are you haven’t stopped thinking about this woman since, and you’re definitely not alone. So today, it was imperative that we name Carla Gugino our Woman Crush Wednesday.

WHO’S THAT GAL: Carla Gugino

WHY WE’RE CRUSHING: Um, how many actresses do you know that can carry an entire movie while handcuffed to a bed? Pretty much just this one! Over the course of her extremely successful career, Carla has been running the game when it comes to comedy, drama, action, and even family flicks. Everyone has their favorite Carla Gugino project, and if you’re like me, there’s no shame if that happens to be Entourage, where she brought a wonderfully tough feminine vibe to the boys’ club of the show. She’s as gorgeous as she is talented, she can play fearless just as fiercely as she can play vulnerable, and she’s just about as classy as it gets.

WHERE YOU’VE SEEN HER BEFORE: Carla kicked off her career by popping up in late 80’s classic TV shows Who’s The Boss, Good Morning, Miss Bliss and ALF, as well as a role in the movie Troop Beverly Hills. Not too shabby, wouldn’t you say? She went on to star in 11 episodes of Falcon Crest, as well as a string of films including This Boy’s Life, Red Hot, Son in Law, Miami Rhapsody, The War at Home, Michael, and Snake Eyes. Then Carla spent some time on TV shows Spin City, Chicago Hope, Karen Sisco, and Threshold. She also starred in the Spy Kids franchise and Night at the Museum, before she got her action-adventure on in the flicks Sin City, The Lookout with Joseph Gordon-Levitt, American Gangster, Righteous Kill, Watchmen, and portrayed the iconic Elektra Luxx in Women in Trouble and Elektra Luxx. She played a total boss bitch as Amanda Daniels on Entourage, appearing on other TV shows such as Californication, Political Animals, New Girl, The Brink, Wayward Pines, and Roadies. You might also know her from Race to Witch Mountain, Faster or San Andreas, all  movies where she got to star with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

WHERE YOU’LL SEE HER AGAIN: It’s been announced that Carla will get to return for San Andreas 2, but before you see her there, you’ll be able to catch her in the 2018 films Elizabeth Harvest and The Swinging Lantern Stories, which is due at the end of next year. Plus, she’ll be in the upcoming horror series The Haunting of Hill House. But for now, if you dare, you can watch her over and over again in Gerald’s Game on Netflix, until you’re so shook you want to look away, but good luck taking your eyes off of this simply electric actress.
