Hey, remember the Emmys? They were less then three weeks ago, even if they feel like seven hundred news cycles and six national tragedies ago. But way back then, remember how host Stephen Colbert raised all those eyebrows by bringing Sean Spicer out onto the stage. Spicer, the disgraced former White House press secretary who was forced out of the Trump administration back in July? Who had repeatedly and vehemently lied from the podium about everything from the size of Trump’s inauguration crowd to the war crimes of Adolph Hitler? Whose angry outbursts were parodied to utter perfection by Melissa McCarthy in a series of guest appearances that won her an Emmy? Yeah, that Sean Spicer.

You’ll recall that Colbert’s idea for a Spicer cameo was met with a mixed reaction, both in the audience at the time — Anna Chlumsky and Kevin Spacey gasped delightedly! Rachel Bloom and Melissa McCarthy seemed unimpressed! — and during the parties after. While Hollywood Twitter was loudly grossed out by Spicer, there were more than a few celebs who sidled up to ol’ Spicy backstage. For shame, James Corden!

But on Conan last night, American Horror Story: Cult star Billy Eichner tells a different, more grim tale. Eichner attended the Emmys as a nominee for his show Billy on the Street, and while he didn’t win (BOOOOOOO!), he did come away with a great story from the green room. Apparently, nobody wanted to talk to Spicer after his appearance. And in fact, the only Hollwyood actor who did was Young Sheldon star Iain Armitage.

And honestly? It doesn’t sound like even Young Sheldon was all that impressed.
