Amazon Drops First ‘Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams’ Trailer At Comic-Con

EXCLUSIVE: “I dreamt you and I think maybe you dreamt me too,” says Geraldine Chaplin in the first trailer for Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams that was just unveiled at New York Comic-Con. Certainly the Stateside glimpse at the 10-episode anthology series that draws from The Minority Report author’s works had a dream-like quality to it, but also a hard look at a very human future.

As you can see above, Terrence Howard, Anna Paquin, Steve Buscemi, Timothy Spall, Holliday Grainger, Greg Kinnear, Janelle Monae and Bryan Cranston, who is also an EP on the series, are among those joining Chaplin in the trailer for Electric Dreams. While already playing weekly in the UK on Channel 4, Amazon’s latest series based on Dick’s work has not been given an official launch date next year – though we did get a look at some key art (see on the right here) as well on Friday.

However from the panel that has assembled in the Hammerstein Ballroom this morning, they certainly are ready for lift-off. Along with EPs Eric Overmyer and Dan Percival plus cast members Rufus Sewell, Jason O’Mara and Alexa Davalos of The Man In The High Castle, Amazon’s other Philip K. Dick series, Electric Dreams’ EP and showrunner Michael Dinner, EP and writer Ronald D. Moore and Game of Thrones actor Liam Cunningham were onstage today.

Isa Dick Hackett, the daughter of the writer and an EP on both shows, was also on the panel.

As well as starring in the Jessica Mecklenburg penned and Francesca Gregorini directed “Human Is” episode, Sneaky Pete’s Cranston is also an executive producer on Electric Dreams. The Breaking Bad alum was not at the Hammerstein Ballroom today as he is participating in Deadline’s Contenders event in London this morning.

New York Comic-Con runs until October 8.
