College students using Spotify Premium for Students are getting another great deal: their already-discounted Spotify account now comes with a free Hulu membership.

Spotify’s current student pricing is $4.99/month, and without paying a cent more, the music service’s student users will get complete access to Hulu’s impressive library of original shows, movies, and gone-but-not-forgotten television series. Hulu also releases new episodes of network shows like Scandal, The Good Doctor, and The Last Man On Earth the day after they air, so even if you’re up late studying for an exam (or just drinking), you’ll be able to stay up to date with your favorite shows.

Students who already have Spotify Premium can access the promotion easily via the Spotify website, where they will be prompted to activate a Hulu account. For Spotify users who already have a Hulu account, the streaming services have made it easy to link your two accounts, saving TV and music lovers some serious cash.

However, there is one catch: if you already have a Hulu account, you can only merge it with Spotify if it’s a Hulu Limited Commercial plan without any premium network add-ons (HBO or Showtime). If you have a No Commercial plan or a Live TV plan, you’ll have to get rid of your fancy-pants membership in order to take advantage of the promotional pricing. Long story short, Spotify is giving users free Hulu memberships, but it’s the most basic Hulu plan out there. Still, free shit is good!

The Spotify Student Hulu Bundle was first announced last month, giving students a chance to capitalize on Hulu’s amazing October Halloween library. With 38 terrifying titles premiering throughout the month, Hulu is miles ahead of every other streaming platform when it comes to Halloween programming. For Spotify users just beginning to learn about the creepy content Hulu has to offer, be sure to check out classics like The Amityville Horror, Pet Sematary, and The Uninvited for a late-night scare and plenty of costume ideas.

Once activated, the promotion will last for 12 months, so students will be able to access this year and next year’s Halloween content, plus tons of series that are slowly making their way from Netflix to Hulu. At only $4.99/month, this is a great deal that all students (and ex-students still holding on to that student pricing) should take advantage of.

Oh, and for those of us that aren’t students? Don’t worry: Spotify and Hulu are currently working on a bundled promotion for the public at large, so keep an eye out for a new promotion in the (hopefully near) future.
