You know what they say — life isn’t about winning or losing. It’s all about the way you play the game. Though Jeopardy‘s Austin Rogers has walked away a loser, he will always remain a life champion in our eyes.

Rogers has become a sort of Jeopardy celebrity, mostly because he’s an utter delight to watch. Whereas most Jeopardy contestants are stone-faced and brooding, Rogers had charisma during his 12-game winning streak. He would do little dances at this podium and excitedly blurt out answers just like we all do from our couches. He was a charming little dose of game show fun, but all good things must eventually come to an end.

Fortunately for us, Rogers’ defeat also came with our hero prompting Alex Trebek to say the phrase “dick tree.”

The category? Starts and ends with a tree. The question? What is slang for a detective? After a momentary pause, Rogers barreled forward with his clearly wrong answer — dick.

Alex Trebek then said in front of Beyonce and everyone “I know nothing about a ‘dick tree,’ but there is a gum tree or gumshoe.”

The New York bartender narrowly lost the game by $51 dollars. The victor of this narrow margin was Scarlett Sims, a stay-at-home mother from Tennessee. However, don’t feel too bad for Rogers. Over the course of his 12-game winning streak, he won a total of $411,000, making him the fifth highest recipient of regular season winnings.

During a time plagued with internet garbage, Austin Rogers’ Jeopardy triumph was a good thing. Having his final episode end with a SNL-esque Trebek prank is even  better.
