I say this as someone who has fainted many many times in my life — this story is terrifying. Today, Wendy Williams was hosting the Wendy Williams Show as she always does. Things were as upbeat and exciting as always. Williams even wore a costume for the occasion and delighted us all with her perfect take on the Statue of Liberty. However, things quickly transformed from daytime TV fun to real time horror this Halloween.

A few seconds before she actually passed out, you can hear Williams start to breathe a little heavier. You can also start to see her eyes widen more as the words “This can’t be happening” surely echo in her head. But happen it did because 2017 is nothing but a terrible year, even on holidays. Williams stopped talking a few second before she started to totter away from her podium. Then, she fell, passing out:

Is there anything more haunting than a daytime studio audience sounding genuinely alarmed? Thankfully for everyone (especially Williams), the talk show host was fine. She emerged after the break to apologize and explain that she overheated in her costume.

We’re happy you’re doing OK, Williams. Please drink some extra water today; we’re worried about you. Let this be a lesson to everyone parading around in your awesome costumes. I know you all look incredible and I’m happy for your Halloween spirit. But look out for yourselves while you’re wearing all those layers. Heat exhaustion and dehydration are real things, and they can really ruin a party. Happy Halloween, everyone.
