Kristen Bell And Dave Grohl Just Performed A ‘Frozen’ And Metallica Mash-Up—And It’s Great

This week, Jimmy Kimmel Live! is featuring a new guest host each night in order to allow Kimmel some time away from the show to be with his son. Last night, Foo Fighters lead singer Dave Grohl graced the JKL! stage–in a David Letterman Halloween costume, no less–and began an unassuming interview with guest Kristen Bell. Of course, things quickly turned musical when Bell and Grohl decided to perform a heavy rock rendition of the Frozen classic “Do You Want to Build A Snowman?”

“Me being here, with you, it’s kind of the biggest deal to my kids,” said Grohl. “If I were to jam a song with you, I would become the coolest dad in the world.” Bell immediately agreed to a quick jam sesh, and thus, the “Do You Want to Build A Snowman?” ft. Metallica remix was born.

The duet starts off innocently enough, with Bell singing a verse from the popular Frozen song. However, after about 30 seconds of kid-friendly fun, Grohl steps in on drums and kicks up the intensity. Bell hilariously drops the tone of her voice as she attempts to hit the low notes, much to the pleasure of the audience. Soon, the beat transitions to Metallica’s “Enter Sandman,” and totally unsurprisingly, The Good Place star handles the shift with ease.

We can only hope that Grohl’s kids appreciate the mash-up as much as we do.
