NEW ON HULU

Total Divas, Season 7: The women’s wrestling revolution is HERE, and E!’s Total Divas is televising it. The season 7 premiere of the reality show featuring WWE’s fantastic female performers is streaming on Hulu, so you can jump right into the action. This season, newcomers Nia Jax, Carmella, and Alexa Bliss arrive to shake up the division, and it looks like we’re going to be getting clashes galore.
GENRE: Reality
STARS: Brie Bella, Nikki Bella, Alexa Bliss
IMDB RATING: 6.7/10

NEW ON HBO GO

The Fast and the Furious : Fast and Furious Nation is fraught with tension these days, what with Tyrese and Dwayne Johnson feuding like crazy and people threatening to quit the franchise. So why not push all that unpleasantness out of your mind and go back to the days when it was all about taking life a quarter mile at a time and an 8-part (and counting) bajillion-dollar franchise wasn’t even a glint in Vin Diesel’s eye. The original Fast and the Furious isn’t the franchise’s best, but it’s a good starting off point, and at the very least, the bro chemistry between Diesel and the late Paul Walker is undeniable.
GENRE: Action
STARS: Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez
IMDB RATING: 6.7/10

NEW ON SHOWTIME

The Band’s Visit: This 2007 Israeli film about a band comprised of members of the Egyptian police force that heads to Israel to play at the inaugural ceremony of an Arab arts center, only to find themselves lost in the wrong town has since been adapted into a stage musical that is currently enjoying a warm reception on Broadway. The original film had a long journey to success, including critical acclaim but also being disqualified from contention in the Oscar Foreign Language Film race for having too much English-language dialogue. Now that the story is getting a second life on the stage, now’s a great time to discover the original.
GENRE: Music
STARS: Saleh Bakri, Ronit Elkabetz, Sasson Gabai, Uri Gavriel
IMDB RATING: 7.6/10

Pride & Prejudice: Director Joe Wright (AtonementHanna, the upcoming Darkest Hour) had a breakthrough by helping to breathe new life into this Jane Austen classic. Keira Knightley won raves and her first Oscar nomination as Elizabeth Bennett, and the ace cast (including Carey Mulligan, Rosamund Pike, and Jena Malone as the Bennett sisters) do not disappoint. Adaptations of classic literature can sometimes feel studious or boring, but Wright’s film feels wonderfully lived-in and vital.
GENRE: Comedy
STARS: Keira Knightley, Matthew Macfadyen, Rosamund Pike, Donald Sutherland
IMDB RATING: 7.8/10
